HP Pay per use (PPU) for HP Integrity servers that include Superdome 2, legacy Superdome and other mid-range servers offers you real-time access to reserve capacity without having to pay for that capacity when not in use.

The system measures how much capacity your organisation uses and bills you—if you use less, you pay less. In addition, HP caps the total payments to ensure you will never pay more than you would for a comparable lease.

It also provides utilisation detail you can use to bill back internal or external organisations. HP PPU systems are located at your site, allowing you complete asset control.

PPU is available on HP-UX operating system and on dual-core Intel® Itanium® processor 8-socket and larger servers.

Percent Core

With the PPU Percent Core solution, Cores are active and available for use at all times, while a unique utility technology monitors the percent of each Core actually being used. All partition data is combined to compute Core utilisation for the entire system for the day. Daily Core utilisation amounts are averaged to come up with a monthly payment. Percent Core is available on HP Integrity, Integrity Superdome, and Superdome 2 servers running HP-UX.
