HP’s new Software Porting Sandbox is now available to customers!

Our secure environment, accessed via VPN and OS level password, will provide you with 24x7 access to Integrity servers running HP-UX 11i v3, HP-UX 11i v2 or OpenVMS8.4. By using SPS you will be able to better estimate the resource requirements—in-house expertise, transition/porting tools, project management—to port your application to HP Integrity servers.

By playing in the sandbox you will gain experience with HP porting tools, including compilers, debuggers, and optimization tools. In this environment, you can transition “test” code on HP Integrity servers with two processors and five 146 GB SAS disk drives. Technical support and porting assistance will be at your disposal (from 9:00am to 5:00pm Pacific Time) or via email.

Who should play in the Sandbox?

• Customers porting a portion of their “custom” code to better understand the code transition process to HP Integrity servers.
• Customers trying to determine if they have the expertise/experience to do this internally or to use resources outside the company.
• Customers porting with external resources still wanting to better understand the complexity of the project.
• Customers at the beginning of the transition process and wanting access to an HP Integrity server to gain practical experience with the transition process.
