The Insight Foundation suite for Integrity with Linux is a set of essential utilities used to facilitate the installation, configuration and management of Integrity servers with Linux.
Smart Setup CD contains the latest documentation, firmware, and tools which assist in the server deployment process by preparing the server for installation of the Linux operating systems. The EFI Based Setup Utility (EBSU) assists with tasks such as configuring storage adapters, upgrading firmware, preparing a system hardware inventory, and installing diagnostics tools.
The Insight Foundation suite for Integrity with Linux also includes the Support Pack consisting of complimentary HP value-added software to assist in ongoing server management tasks.
- HP System Insight Manager: A unified server and storage management platform that enables system administrators to manage the complete HP server and storage environment from a single console. Also serves as a central access point for Integrity Essentials, ProLiant Essentials, and Storage Essentials software options that deliver targeted functionality for these platforms.
- HP Insight Manager Agents: Allow remote monitoring of configuration information and system status from any Simple Network Protocol (SNMP) browser.
- HP System Management Homepage: An easy-to-read Web interface presenting the data from HP Insight Management Agents installed on the local system.
- Web-based Enterprise Management (WBEM) Solutions: A Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) standard that allows management applications such as HP Systems Insight Manager to retrieve, monitor, and configure system information.
- HP Management Base for Integrity servers: Installs the appropriate Open Intelligent Platform Management Initiative (IPMI) driver and other utilities needed for HP server management products.
- HP nPartition Commands: Command line utilities to manipulate nPartitions in HP cellular based architectures such as HP Integrity rx7620, rx8620, and Superdome servers.
- HP Partition Manager: Provides system administrators with a convenient GUI to configure and manage nPartitions on HP server systems. Can be used to examine, modify, create and delete nPartition configurations.
- OpenPegasus: A portable and highly modular open source implementation of the DMTF CIM and WBEM standards, which enables management solutions that deliver increased control of enterprise resources.
- HP Array Configuration Utility: An online tool for Linux on Itanium-based systems which can be used to manage and configure Smart Array-based storage controllers.
