HP announces winning SPECjAppServer2004i benchmark results - again! HP-UX 11i on HP Integrity rx4640 servers outperformed the IBM p5 550 systems with Power5+ by 28%. Both systems have a 4U form-factor chassis.

The Integrity rx4640 servers with BEA WebLogic Server 9.0 and HP Java™ Virtual Machine 5.0ii. Both Integrity rx4640 servers (with Intel® Madison 9M® processors) and HP-UX 11i are shipping now.

SPECjAppServer2004 (Java Application Server) is a multi-tier benchmark for measuring the performance of Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technology-based application servers.
