Boost Version 1.37 available for HP-UX 11i aC++ and GCC compilers on Integrity servers

Boost announces the availability of its latest release of its C++ libraries, Version 1.37.0. Version 1.37 continues support of HP’s aC++ compiler (aC++ A.06.17 and higher) and introduces support for GCC (GCC 4.2.1 and higher), for HP-UX 11i on Integrity (HP-UX 11i v2 and higher).

Standards deliver savings

Boost’s high-quality and powerful C++ libraries help software developers speed time-to-market for new applications and reduce application maintenance costs. Ten Boost libraries are already included in the C++ Standards Committee's Library Technical Report (TR1) as a step toward becoming part of a future C++ Standard. More Boost libraries are proposed for the upcoming TR2.

While Boost delivers its compilers for a number of Linux and Windows platforms, HP-UX 11i on Integrity is the only supported UNIX® operating system, giving HP-UX 11i developers an edge in developing for multi-OS environments.

The latest releases of the compiler, debugger and tools deliver features that improve performance optimization, debuggin, and data usage reporting.  Updated releases are available for:

• HP C/ANSI C compiler and HP aC++ compiler: Enhanced support for debugging optimized code

• HP WDB debugger (HP-supported version of the Gnu GDB debugger): Improved batch mode memory debugging

• HP Caliper performance analyzer: Ability to collect and report system data usage

• HP Code Advisor (cadvise) analysis tool: Enhancements that detect potential performance issues using the Performance Advisory diagnostic messages
